Attending college is no easy task, especially for nontraditional and first-generation students. While attaining a postsecondary degree is tough for everyone, these students face an even bigger uphill battle to completing their degrees. As states work to increase the number of residents with college degrees, anticipating and meeting the needs of nontraditional and first-generation students are essential steps.
